Luberon Tour
From Gordes to Roussillon, A Journey Through History and Nature

What do Ridley Scott, WWII resistance fighters, and the striking terracotta landscapes of Provence have in common? The captivating region of Luberon.
Here, amidst rolling vineyards and hilltop villages, history and nature intertwine. We’ll explore Gordes and Roussillon, two of France’s most beautiful medieval villages, with their towering castles, stone churches, and breathtaking vistas. We’ll venture into the ochre-hued cliffs of Roussillon, often called Provence’s "Little Colorado." Along the way, enjoy seasonal delicacies straight from local markets, small bistros, and Michelin-starred restaurants. A dream for nature lovers and countryside explorers, Luberon’s landscapes have remained untouched for nearly 50 years as part of a Regional Natural Park.

We’ll begin in Lourmarin, where we’ll visit the first Renaissance château built in Provence and stop by the grave of writer Albert Camus. Crossing the Luberon mountains, we’ll take in the views before arriving in Bonnieux, a hilltop village with a perfect view of the Château de Lacoste, once home to the Marquis de Sade.
After a walk through the village, we’ll continue to Roussillon, known for its ochre cliffs and colorful houses—this is where Samuel Beckett spent time in hiding during World War II. Our last stop is Gordes, perched on a limestone hilltop and considered one of France’s most beautiful villages. It’s home to a 5-star hotel, a 3-star Michelin restaurant, and was featured in Ridley Scott’s famous film A Good Year.
