Spend the day exploring the iconic Provence countryside. We’ll start the day on the Plateau de Valensole, one of Europe’s largest lavender-growing regions, where rows of purple stretch into the distance during peak season. Learn about lavender’s varieties, history, and uses while capturing great photos.
From there, we’ll drive to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a medieval village built into the cliffs and known for its ceramics and dramatic views (Napoleon passed through here in 1815 on his return from exile). We’ll have lunch in the village, then head to the Gorges du Verdon, where we’ll take an electric boat ride through turquoise waters surrounded by 700-meter limestone cliffs, with time to swim or just relax on the water.

This half-day version skips Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and the Gorges du Verdon boat ride. You’ll visit the Valensole Plateau for lavender viewing and photography, followed by a stop in the village of Valensole for local products and a quick bite.
